I do alot with IBM's WebSphere at work. I have to configure it, read logs, run it on zOS, Solaris, HP-UX, Windows, and linux. And I hate it. Its crappy, slow and cranky.
Well part of my product makes me have to change a few things in the JVM properties, which I used to do through the admin console. To each machine. I have like 30 of them. It takes forever.
Someone in the WAS development might actually be sane and smart. They have jython support build in. So now I can write python scripts that configure was. Better yet, they can connect to remote instances of websphere and configure those to.
I think Python might take over the world. I am ok with that.
