My mom's wedding

So this weekend, my mom got remarried. It was a good time. I arrived around 7:30pm ( 5:30 mountain time ). The wedding was set for 2 on Saturday. When I arrived, an old friend from high school invited me to a game of beer pong.

First thing I did, was drive to the dandy in PA to get cheap smokes, and get vodka.

After seeing what family was in town, went over to Taft's place, to drop of a present I made for Tony. Then it was over to Derek's to play the “Dude” drinking game. I was also a bit too drunk for beer pong ( it was also 3 in the morning. )

Up early the next day ( by early I think it was noon.) My 2 brothers and myself went up to the fabled Arnot Mall to acquire some new dress clothes for the wedding. 280 dollars later, I had my pink tie, slacks, white dress shirt, some new undergarments and freshly polished shoes. Hey, my mom only gets married a second time once, so I had to do it up nice.

Most of the Floridians arrived by the time rehearsal started. My mom didn't tell me, but us kids played a major roll in the wedding. I had to seat people as the arrived, light the candles, walk Peter Wood's mother down the aisle, and give my mom away.

After the rehearsal there was a party at Pete's sisters house. My older brother got trashed, and a good time was had. I also found out the the new half of my family was very health conscious.

ok so after the party at the Dunlap's, I ended up next door at the neighbor's house, playing beer pong with kids I haven't seen in almost 6 years. It was interesting. Drunk too.

Saturday I woke up mostly hung over at 9 am but my breakfast beer pushed that away as I went to get my hair cut. Free hair cuts rock, and this one came out nice.

I road to the wedding with Derek, Pete, Crystal and Matt. My two bothers, Derek and myself went into the community room at the church to through back a bunch of those little bottles of liquor before the wedding, you know to calm our nerves. It was hot in the church, and as the people began arriving, I was up and down the aisle seating people. It was hot. Very hot. The fact that I was half in the bag for 2 days probably had nothing to do with it.

The wedding was very beautiful and went without a hitch. My mom was very happy, and that is what its all about.

Then the reception. Wheww. It gets a bit blurry towards the end of the night, but it was fun. I even danced.

That night was mostly the same, drinking at Derek's house.

So Sunday was my new little sisters birthday. It was fun, but I missed out on hockey. I did get to hang out with Kerrie more, but only for a half hour or so. Have new family members is strange. One of Pete Wood's nephew's graduated high school with me. I never really hung out with him but now he is my cousin.

We ended up the night watching really bad horror movies. no matter what you do, don't waste time on The Ring 2. It was horrible.

I brought the new Death Cab For Cutie documentary I really enjoyed it.

So that brings us up to Monday. I woke up at like noon, grabbed a beer and waited for the clam bake to start. My uncle Mick and his girlfriend had gone back to Florida, so it was a smaller gathering. The younger crowd ended up out back playing drinking games and such. I was kinda disappointed in the weather. It was too cold for a dip in the pool, but I got to wear my new hoodie.

I left on Tuesday around 2 pm. I think when I left, both Taft and Derek lost there jobs. Bummer. Elmira will do that to you.

To recap, I basically drank for 5 days, and have needed a lot of time to catch up.

oh ya…
